QR-1 (2022)
QR-1 is an almost entirely 3D printable quick-release tool changer for small industrial robots. I designed it for my reclaimed KUKA KR10-1100 sixx robot, in which the 6th axis mounting flange hole pattern is common with smaller industrial robots(ISO9409-1-31.5-4.M5). These smaller robots are becoming more commonplace in educational settings and experimental design studios, where end effectors, tools, and accessories are often made by the user. This printable tool changer can handle light to medium-duty tasks that researchers and design professionals can easily and cheaply make for swift replacement of multiple tools.
Current version 1.1 (2024)
This part stays attached on the robot accommodating the tool part to be securely attached and easily removable.
